Case studyOur own brand, not client work
TETRA.
An archive that opens like a film.
An artist’s life’s work and music, built so that arriving feels like the first frame of a film, not a portfolio.
§ 01 · The decisions
Five choices that made it feel like cinema.
- 01
The title card
A first visit opens on a monogram you press and hold. It erodes into ash, and letting go ignites the page. A visitor chooses to enter with sound or in silence.
- 02
A hero that burns
The opening artwork is a live WebGL ember field, not a video. It breathes with the music and follows the cursor like heat over glass.
- 03
Cuts, not page loads
Moving between pages is a film cut: one dissolve, no flash of white, the back button respected frame by frame.
- 04
Music that follows you
One player owns the audio for the whole site, so a track keeps playing from page to page, with a queue and a lock-screen card on phones.
- 05
An archive you can hold
279 works in a lightbox you can swipe, pinch and drag away on a phone, with the colour of each piece lighting the room.
Recorded from the live site
Built to be remembered.
§ 02 · Measured
Cinematic, and still fast.
Lighthouse 12, mobile preset, home page, measured October 13, 2026. Numbers move a little from run to run.
